Delivery of the YMCA awards - the year 2013

Dear friends, on Thursday was next past 07112013 in the rooms of the Club Campestre of the farmhouses of the city of Caracas, in a ceremony filled with solemnity, but above all of human warmth, the delivery of the YMCA Edition 2013 awards in the following categories:

Citizen sport YMCA 2013:

Created in 2005, to honor personalities of irreproachable behavior citizen, social work and high in the Venezuelan sport.

It is chosen by the Federation of young Christians YMCA of Venezuela, this year those selected were:

·         RAFAEL LAIRET CENTENO.

·         ALFREDO LÓPEZ LAGONELL.

·         LUIS MENDOZA BENEDETTO.

·         CARMEN TERESA BREA ESCOBAR.

·         JOSÉ FERNÁNDEZ FREITES.

·         WILLIAM RÍOS FELCE

Good athlete from Venezuela:

"A good athlete is who wins the admiration of the sport for good behavior and moral passion. It serves for example and encouragement of youth." Professor HERNAN ROMERO, creator of the award in 1954.

This selection makes it more than a half century ago, sports journalists, photographers and videographers, direct and secret ballot.

Created in the year 2012, to reward achievements of high relevance in the sport, culture and science, which magnify the human spirit and highlight our name inside and outside our borders.

I want to share with all of you perhaps one of the most appreciated distinctions received throughout my years, I am referring to the designation to my person, where give me unanimously Prize YMCA "Citizen of the 2013 sports", with all respect I consider that this Honorable appointment, is thanks to each and every one of us, i.e., managers, leadersAssociations, clubs, referees, coaches and our dear athletes, in the end all these beautiful people who day after day honor to this wonderful mind game called "Dominó".

For the first time in the history of my homeland is honored "The Domino Venezolano", greater joy that through my person we enjoy together share such a high distinction.

I want to take this article to thank the Chairman of the Board Directors of the Federation Venezuelan of Domino "FVD", Professor: EFRAIN VELASQUEZ RAMOS, and the team that accompanies it, allowing me to contribute during these years with the plans of massification of the Venezuelan Domino in all categories, goals paths with dignity so honorable Board. Would also like to thank Dr. JOEL M. MARÍN, President of the Organizing Committee of the YMCA Awards, and the team that accompanies it have appointed unanimously, filling me with joy but mainly honour and excellence with such high designation.

Friends without a doubt any let me say with all certainty and without fear to be wrong, that dominated Venezuelan and international Domino, wore their best outfits, selecting me as honorable distinction, also participated them that to receive it, I did it on behalf of each and every one of you without exception, those who every day have brought their best ideas in the growth of the Venezuelan Dominoes, those who are present and those that left an early, leaving us and always leaving their memories in our hearts and in our memories.

Gentlemen, the Domino Venezuelan through my name, shall be forever and always recorded at the YMCA Gallery as a sport of mind of high competition, thus demonstrating the importance and the place that occupies our sport in the heart and inhabitants of our beloved Venezuela, will again say what expressed in interviews granted “POLE I JUST WENT, VENEZUELAN DOMINO WAS THE ONE WHO GAVE THE JUMP CLEANLY "GLORY TO THIS WONDERFUL SPORT OF THE MIND".

It is not easy to assimilate and so Honorable award especially when we do things like friends, and without expecting anything in return, in my humanity I albergaré always and ever thank Professor EFRAIN VELASQUEZ Ramos, President of the Venezuelan Federation of Domino "FVD", have postulated and thus allowing me to achieve one of the distinctions that are honored so many people that I represent in this wonderful sport of the mind called "DOMINÓ" and also to Dr. JOEL MARÍN, President of the Organizing Committee of the YMCA Awards, the team that accompanies it, who by unanimous vote awarded me this prize.

Finally I will conclude this paper with a thought of the father of the nation and liberator of Libertadores "The award to the merit is the act more AUGUSTO of the human being" SIMÓN BOLÍVAR - Congress of Angostura.

Greetings to all and I invite you to enjoy with me as Honorable designation and that in turn serve as example to our sister nations of the international Domino, since no doubt started to give our beloved Venezuela, the first steps to reach roads that allow us to get to the Olympic movement.
